Control What You Can Control
You don’t have to be an alpha leader to create change.
They say that challenging times define us, but I don't think that's quite correct:
It's in how we choose to face challenging times that defines us.
And the truth as I see it is that the world needs people who make different choices.
Yes, absolutely, we need our leaders, our fighters, our advocates.
But we also need the sensitive souls who create sanctuary, who care for the wounded, who mourn the fallen, who hold space for our greater visions.
We need people who will cultivate, tend, gently nourish, dream.
Who will create safe spaces for all life.
Who will have compassion for all those who need it.
My friend, you are just as the world needs you to be.
You need not be any other way.
Rise as your spirit urges you to rise.
Your grace, your light, your soul have magic in them that knows what to do - trust.
My job, as I see it, is to nurture and train healers, intuitives, empaths, and seers.
To help them discover their own power and expand into their greatness.
To shelter them while they bloom. To nudge them into taking flight.
Because I know how desperately the world needs them.
This is my response, my call to action in righteous rebellion against the darkness in the world.
I will sign petitions. I will donate money. I will march when called.
But I'll also plant wildflower seed in my garden to help the bee population thrive.
I'll grow food. I'll drink tea. I'll sit with my stones. I'll snuggle my pups.
I'll continue to dream and pray and write and heal…
Control what you can control.
Be what the world needs you to be.
Honor and hold sacred the light within you - light rippling outwards is unstoppable.
